Angry Homer

Like a star of the waning summer who beyond all stars

rises bathed in the ocean stream to glitter in brilliance – you are tempting the passer by.

But falsehoods are done by men who are wretched things.

They hide one thing in their hearts, and say another.

Fortunately, roaring seas and many dark mountains lie between us.

I wish I were savagely enough to hack up your corpse and eat it raw,

but unrelenting anger does not become me.

Strife will only hurt even more.

H
ow bitter sweet the losses we suffer,

during our journey on the sea.

I do not know what the future holds,

but I know who holds the future.
