What if instead of Valentine’s Day, we have – “Love One Another Day” – this year?
With less hype about romance and surprisingly expensive gifts to buy and more about loving/accepting one another?
Not that romance is bad, simply that the world really needs to take a day off and celebrate love and kindness with less over the top gestures and expectations.
I am not advocating that we roll over and become doormats to hate, intolerance, or abuse.
But taking a day to clear our minds and collectively to breathe.
Focusing our minds on love and tolerance. For one day, we do not to allow anger; hate or hopelessness and fear to rule our minds, hearts and lives.
And may be from a clear mind and heart, we will know what to do next and how to act best. If we all collectively allow a glimpse of a shadow of insecurity and shallow pride,to leave our souls and do nothing to actively hurt each other.
Now that would be smart….
Happy Love Day!!!
